As a licensed psychotherapist, I provide individual, couples, and group counseling for a diverse clientele who struggle with loss and grief in all its forms.
And over the years, I’ve developed holistic techniques including: dreamwork, ancestral healing, journey & myth work and expressive arts that empower people to make more mindful changes in their lives. By tending to their grief, clients have discovered new potentials, profound transformation and, more importantly, hope.
Because I have witnessed the powerful impact of these techniques has had on my clients, I felt it was my ethical duty to spread this knowledge and provide trainings for my fellow professionals in their respective practices.

Bereavement, Loss & Disenfranchised Grief
Whether you experienced a loss or are anticipating one, I am here to support you. As a therapist, I help clients enlarge their capacity for grief, help facilitate their ability to cope with their loss and join with them in their beliefs to a place of comfort, peace and hope in the face of the complex mysteries of life.
Dreamwork
My passion is dreamwork and I have been a prolific dreamer since childhood. Through my own personal practices, I discovered the remarkable potential of dreams. Since everybody dreams, then we all have access to the wise and healing messages there; as well as the dream’s transformative possibilities as “good medicine.”
Dreams can inform us of where we are in our grieving process as well as provide the map for how to proceed. Because dreams can be in the form of nightmares and go to the heart of issues, I use a gentle approach and encourage clients to explore at their own pace.
Myth, Journey and Ancestral Healing in Individual Counseling
For those of you who have lost a loved one, you probably know what this means. It is knowledge you had not asked for. And certainly life changing. For Joseph Campbell in his Monomyth or Hero’s Journey, the hero cannot fully transform until he or she has ventured into the Underworld. In many myths this can be the form of a dark forest, barren desert, mountain, cave, and even Hades or Hell itself.
For many of my clients, the death of a loved one is often described as a dark forest, a black hole, or a wilderness. Without a map.
I hold grief as sacred initiatory process that carries with it both pain and despair and hope in the form of growth and profound transformation. Often this journey is reflected in our dreams and ancestral story. Each of us is on a Hero’s Path and I am here to help guide you through the Underworld or wilderness of your grief.
Group Counseling
Group counseling can be a powerful and valuable venue for healing, understanding and growth. It is also a safe place to express complicated emotions, share wisdom and develop community and support. I facilitate Grief and Dreamwork centered groups for both clients and professionals.
Empathetic or Highly Sensitive?
I have found many of my clients who are experiencing grief share that they feel “raw” and exposed. This is especially true for those who might not realize they are “highly sensitive” or “empathic”.
When I sit with client, I like to normalize their grief, especially when they feel extra sensitive to the world and need to be more introspective. I call this “cocooning” because often times it is a process of mystery. There are changes and shifts in identity and meaning-making occurring and to not force it so that a butterfly may emerge.
I offer tools and strategies to help clients navigate their grief, create healthy boundaries and find ways to self soothe and ease their anxiety to live meaningful, authentic and healthy lives.
Profession Trainings & Consultations
In many cultures, “good medicine” is a universal term for finding balance or alignment in life which can come through in many ways; sharing a kind word, sitting quietly by a river, meeting a good friend and in our dreams.
And it was often the healers or “medicine men and women” who would aid those who were suffering by offering their knowledge illuminated by a vision or dream. We modern day healers too can glean the wisdom of our client’s dreams by unpacking the messages or “good medicine” already living there, especially for the bereaved who are experiencing deep loss and need support.
